Disneyland 2008 Day 1
What a fantastic day at Disneyland!!
First I have to say, if you have a little girl and you take her to Disneyland, let her wear a princess dress for some part of one day - or the whole day - even if she destroys it, it's going to be a magical experience. We put Madison in a Cinderella dress before we had dinner at Ariel's grotto, and it was just the coolest thing ever. You get to meet five princesses there during dinner; Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora and Belle. They just talked and were so friendly and signed Madison's autograph book and took pictures. The food was also pretty amazing, but that's not what Madison will remember. Here's a sample of what she got to experience:During the Parade of Dreams at the end of the night, the princesses paid special attention to the little girls in costumes too, so that was just the coolest thing ever for Madison.
We even got her on the Tower of Terror - man that ride was scary, it was awesome!!! She had a look of sheer horror the whole ride, and as soon as we walked out, promptly asked to go on it again. That's my girl!
The best part of today (for me) - The Haunted Mansion has been taken over by Jack Skellington and they completely revamped the ride. Jack is my favorite Disney character so it was really a cool thing to see.
Of course there's a whole lot of other pictures over at Flickr - more of Maddy and the princesses, the Haunted Mansion, Halloween decor around Disneyland, and even a few of me with some of the characters too.
Tomorrow morning we're having breakfast with Goofy and friends and heading back for more!
